WordPress Coppermine Plugin 0.2.1

Texx has updated his coppermine plugin, so I’ve gone and hacked it again.

Changes I’ve made:

  • Modified tag names so it plays nicely with Markdown
  • Changed links to images, linking directly to the coppermine album, rather than a custom popup window.
  • Fixed bug where commas after the cpg album tag would interfere with the plugin.
  • Added option to only display JPG files (can be customised to other file types)

Download from the WP Coppermine Plugin Project page.

I’m not sure about this one – I’ve seen it before with other plugins. In my experience, it seems to be a conflict of some kind between one plugin and another. If you can’t figure it out, talk to Texx – he’s the one who wrote the original plugin!! (of course, if his works fine and mine doesn’t, THEN I might have a problem!)

The problem was a blank spaces after the end of the last mark of php on the plugin file.

    Tweaked Coppermine Plugin

I’ve been using a plugin by Matthias Jell to interface with Coppermine Gallery, but in some respects it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been wanting to learn a little about PHP for a while now, so this was my excuse. I&#8…

Nice catch on the bug where it looked for commas after the end tag. I didn’t see that one until I saw your comments pointing it out. In case you are interested, I’ve modified this plugin further to support multiple galleries and to let you indicate whether you want thumbnails, normalized or full size images when pulling back individual images.

Appologies! With the site re-design, I accidently deleted some of the old files!

    Anyway, it’s back up now.

Still, I’d recommend you use the updated version by Rue Plumet (it’s what I’m using for my posts which still have coppermine pics in them) – http://www.55rueplumet.com/plugins/copperminesc/

hi richard, how do i integrate the actual coppermine albums into wordpress like the one you did in your Photos section? keeping the theme of the wordpress all throughout?

    Two things:

    1. I no longer use coppermine to host my photos. I’m currently using Flickr, with the fAlbum plugin to create the photos page. I still have my coppermine gallery, and lots of my earlier posts still have coppermine pictures integrated into wordpress using Rue Plumet’s coppermine plugin.

    2. There is still hope, however. As far as I know, no one has done a full integration of coppermine into wordpress, but…. if you’re using the standard kubrick theme for wordpress (which I’m not anymore) there’s a “workaround” – there is a kubrick theme for coppermine! While it won’t actually USE the wordpress theme, you can make both themes look the same, and a normal user won’t be able to tell the difference.

    Good luck!
